Heaven

We are a country that welcomes all religions but we are also a country that believes in prayer and ancestors and all that. I am grateful for this fact. Who wouldnt be?
We are born into a world where we are not forced into a religion or a way of life and without the power of chosing our own beliefs. Everyone worships in peace and we are able to work together,live together and share in the fruits of the land.

One of my friends is from India and in his religion they have a set diet;vegies and fruit. When I think about it, I always say no... i could never live without my meat. Talking to him a while back,I respected the young man he is;passionate and quite committed to his religion,beliefs and way of life. It didnt matter to me that he wasnt a Christian or that he would never marry outside his ethnic group. I just saw a young man who wasnt going to let the world shake and shape his beliefs. The respect I had for him grew and I was proud to have met Ankit Neglur,hopefully when he is as famous as the facebook guy,he will remember his How2buddy.

Kinda made me think about the kind of Christian that I am.

Do people look at me and see what I believe in?
When I speak,do I speak the language of the world or the language of Heaven?

When God put us on Earth and gave us life,His main intention was for us to worship Him in fellowship with those around us. He gave us choice and the greatest of these choices was chosing Him over all else. His word says that getting to heaven and "striving for perfection" is a hard thing to do.
Man do I know it!

The word s-i-n is just a three letter word,yet... it holds so much pain,regret,anger and resentment. I know sin came to the world through Adam and Eve and sometimes that story just makes me think that they had a choice to make... from the beginning,God gave us free will.
The devil with all his charm and deception just gave Adam and Eve the one thing that so many of us desire from time to time, being equal to God.
I dont care what religion you are from or what your beliefs are,but wherever your faith lies,that place is sacred and high above you and what is on this Earth.
What does that say?

WE CAN NEVER BE AT PAR WITH GOD.
WE ARE NOT THE OWNERS OF OUR LIVES.

Do we chose what to believe in?
Hells yeah!
Is it entirely up to us?
Hells no!
Can we ever be completely in control of our lives?
Hells no!

Moral of the story:
The world is always challenging our beliefs.
Telling us we are in charge of our future and that we are the kings of this Earth but we are not. There is a Power far greater than what we can imagine. It is greater than anything you have achieved or are stil to achieve. I have been through hell on earth and every human being on this planet has an achilles heel that makes them stronger when they get up.
Challenge the world back with your own beliefs,dont let it change you. Follow fashion if you must,have fancy things and all that. Be happy to achieve things,but remember what you believe in. Remember your God. He is greater that anything you see around you. If you dont believe in anything,than do yourself a favor,look within in you and see where your faith lies. Think of who or what would pick you up when or if your life would crumble. By crumble;I mean poverty,retrenchment,death and the things that hurt. How would you survive?
